He suffered the injury in the win versus Bridgeport and received 18 stitches in his mouth. The injury is not expected to be serious and he hopes to play in the home opener against the Pioneers.

Fields has lacerated tongue
Fairfield basketball freshman guard Jamel Fields, sat out the exhibition loss against Stonehill due to a lacerated tongue. He suffered the injury in the win versus Bridgeport and received 18 stitches in his mouth. The injury is not expected to be serious and he hopes to play in the home opener against the Pioneers.
